Hello eZ Community!

We are proud to announce the availability of a new 'ezplatform' tag on StackOverflow.com!

You can view all the questions posted to the new 'ezplatform' tag here, http://stackoverflow.com/questions/tagged/ezplatform

There is also a corresponding atom feed for content posted to the 'ezplatform' tag for those users who wish to remotely monitor activity within this tag, http://stackoverflow.com/feeds/tag/ezplatform

Naturally, Heath made the first post to this tag, http://stackoverflow.com/questions/30139954/how-to-install-ez-platform-via-composer

Background

Recently, when StackOverflow.com posts about eZ Publish were mentioned in the eZ Community Board Meeting Minutes we at BC became more interested in contributing to the eZ Publish Community engaging on StackOverflow and helping answer user questions.

While working at answering questions on StackOverflow about eZ Publish we noticed that while their has been an 'ezpublish' tag for questions there was not yet a tag for 'ezplatform'.

Often eZ Platform questions are quite different eZ Publish (Legacy) questions and in the future (with the upcoming official release of eZ Platform) there will be even more eZ Platform specific questions on StackOverflow and thus we saw the need to create an 'ezplatform' tag for questions.

Since we (BC) are new users to the site we did not have the points required to create the new tag ourselves we reached out to another user (forgottenbas) who has supported eZ Publish users on StackOverflow, who did have the points required to create the new tag needed.

Warning about tag deletion

Алексей reminded us that if other users do not continue to post new questions to the 'ezplatform' tag within 6 months the tag could potentially be automatically deleted.

This is documented within the StackOverflow help documentation, http://stackoverflow.com/help/privileges/create-tags

It would be nice if more users could post their eZ Platform questions using the new 'ezplatform' tag to help ensure that this tag remains available to all users.

Mentioning ezpublish tag

There is also an ezpublish tag on StackOverflow!

While we do encourage users to ask their eZ Publish / eZ Platform questions here on share.ez.no, as it often provides the very best (and fastest) answers which are available to all members of the eZ Community ... increasingly more users are posting eZ Publish (Legacy) and eZ Publish Platform questions on StackOverflow using the 'ezpublish' tag.

You can read and answer questions using the 'ezpublish' tag here, http://stackoverflow.com/questions/tagged/ezpublish

If you do cross post to both sites, please include a link to your StackOverflow question url within your share.ez.no forum post so that we can ensure that others can follow the question activity on both sites :)

Syndication

The ezpublish and ezplatform tag content from StackOverflow is automatically imported into eZecosystem.org/Forums which helps increase visibility of this activity to the eZ Community.

Special Thanks

Special thanks to 'Алексей Белоусов' (aka, forgottenbas) on StackOverflow for creating the new 'ezplatform' tag on our community's behalf!

Thank you eZ Community for reading this blog posts and for your continued support!

Cheers,
