If you are installing eZ through Git, How?

Hi Community!
One of my current tasks is to add a section to the Github Tutorial, describing how you could install eZ itself based on an eZ Github Clone, on your local development machine. Before I start writing, I could use your input!
I am aware of some obvious options, but I am really interested if you are actually performing installations through a github clone, and if so how?
It would be great to incorporate some experiences you have on this topic. Thanks in advance for any feedback.
