I am currently working on a site with multiple languages (7) where the US language have grown so big that they have opted to get their own DB.
We have cloned the DB but are stuck with a site that has 7000+ translations that we are looking to get rid of, as far as I can see there is no easy way of doing this, since removing a language requires all the translations to be removed first.
So, I'm looking for a way to delete all the translations except one, by SQL or any other method, but it is important that we keep the content. Does anyone have any experience with this?
I've also played with the idea of exporting a package of the content, with only one language, and the resetting the DB, but then I'd lose all the nodeIDs, and some of our functionality is based on those.
