Object State & ContentObjectVersion

Thursday 22 December 2011 11:09:55 am - 1 reply

I'm having a probleme with object states:

suppose having 3 states: 'state_raw', 'state_correction', 'state_correct'

online article are only those with state 'state_correct'.

once an article has state_correct, I would like some newer version of the same article to 'state_raw'.

meaning that objects version should also be related to contentobject_version.

My question is: why is object_states not related to object_version: ie ezcobj_state_link (object_id, version_id, state_id) instead of ezcobj_state_link (object_id, state_id) (as other relation does: ezcontentobject_link...)

Did you ever find a solution? I'm trying to implement a content approval workflow via Object States in eZ Platform v2 Community Edition(http://share.ez.no/learn/ez-publish/ez-publish-knowledge-series-editorial-workflow-with-object-states) but as you state above, once a content has been approved, its not possible to create a new version with state 'state_raw'.

Thanks
