Introduction

Here is the first part of a series of tutorials about eZ Find. At the end of this series, you will have been exposed all details on how it works, and be able to make an advanced usage, in various context, of this enterprise-grade search plug-in. This series will serve as a base for a talk on the subject at the eZ Conference 2010, in Berlin. As well as the Libre Software meeting.

Thank you for this article, very valuable.

Just a precision : how do you call from your ezfind template fetch attr_title_s or attr_title_t to avoid sentence explosions ?

Friday 16 July 2010 8:52:17 am

@Martin : "article/title", the "_s" or "_t" depends of the context (filtering, sorting, facetting...), and your settings

And for the settings :

But you also could use the Solr syntax, like explain in this article :

Hi Gilles!

Thank you for your great tutorials!!!

I think I discovered a small bug in your ezfSolrDocumentFieldObjectRelation class (http://projects.ez.no/ezfsolrdocumentfieldobjectrelation/) on line 256

What do you think?

$finalValue = $this->preProcessValue( $field->ContentObjectAttribute->metaData(),
                        parent::getClassAttributeType( $tmpClassAttribute ) );

//instead of
$finalValue = $this->preProcessValue( $field->ContentObjectAttribute->metaData(),
                        parent::getClassAttributeType( $contentClassAttribute ) );

Thanks!

  But if ezfind version is 2.5.0-dev that is not right to change this.

I am test that, Because it can not find object relations text.

$facets[] = array( 'field' => 'article/tags',
 'name' => ezpI18n::tr( 'extension/ezfind/facets', 'Keywords' ),
 'limit' => $limit );

 In this code that 'article/tags' if it is changed two classes 's attribute?

Because in folder class has 'tag' this attribute two.

 So it search result is not right.

        $facets[] = array( 'field' => 'event/subject_areas',
                           'name'  => ezpI18n::tr( 'extension/ezfind/facets', "Subject areas"blunk.gif Emoticon,
                           'limit' => $limit );

'event/subject_areas' datatype is object relations that is search result not right and

display word is not right too.

But I don't know how to fix ezfsolrdocumentfieldobjectrelation.php.

Sure I add the codebig-smile.gif EmoticonatatypeMap[ezobjectrelationlist]=string

to ezfind.ini. then execute the command: php extension/ezfind/bin/php/updatesearchindexsolr.php -s <admin siteaccess> --clean. that are not right too.

Please help me!

Thanks!
