Introduction

The eZ Community Board has been discussing and preparing a solution the last few months, to the questions and need for a follow-up on the eZ Community Project 2014.11. Read our full blog, and let us know if you want to contribute to this solution in the comments.

Hey Robin!

Thanks for the efforts, I'm definitely interested in contributing and maintaining the solution.

I'm in too!

Hi,

added you as collaborator with write access Edi, essentially making you co-maintainer, normal review rules apply, including +1's from eZ team until we if needed define it differently.

Added you as well Luca, but as you haven't been that involved before for now with read access so meaning co-reviewer, and afaik with access to edit wiki pages. Ping me if you'd rather get access with your own account as opposed to opencontent, might be better fit here.

Maybe we should setup a channel on Slack for this, one of the first topics might be script to install legacy bridge and legacy easily on eZ Platform/Studio installs (FYI: I know Bertrand D. has some input on that and he is off for another two weeks).

Best,
André

Edi, just want to say thanks to you and eZ for taking this on.  As we transition to eZ Platform, especially for existing sites that rely heavily on legacy functionality this will be a BIG help.  I'll be glad to help however I can, but I'll probably be limited to just submitting PR's and giving feedback.

Hi @André!

Yes please give me an access with my personal github account https://github.com/lrealdi/

Thanks!

Thanks André!

I presume there's going to be another repo with eZ Platform and legacy bridge integration?

Hello Edi,

As soon as we have a few volunteers, the repo is the first thing to be taken care of. It is almost sure that this will be on https://github.com/ezcommunity. I want to check with Bertrand as soon as he is back from vacation.

Thanks to everyone who responded so far, and are willing to help out!

Hi all,

we are definitively interested in contributing to maintain this solution, currently legacy admin is "a must" for our customers, so if I can help in any way don't hesitate to contact me happy.gif Emoticon

Hi all

Since we're probably not going to be able to convert all our features from legacy to new stack, we are also very interested in this solution. Having a "default" community repo hopefully also allows us to be able to share more of our developments with the community through this.

Greetings,

I got to agree with this idea. New projects must start with eZ Plateform. But as the new back-office is not realy complete, some clients want to continue using the old back-office.

Every one wants to get rid of the legacy, but still clients want it so....

Would you be willing to contribute as well?
