Introduction

The eZ Publish search extension eZ Find offers many sorting parameters for its search results, the most common being by relevance / score, and by date. On large sites, sorting by date can lead to non-relevant results showing up first. What if you want to sort by date and relevance, essentially boosting newer content but still giving you relevant results?

Is there a way of sorting by a star_rating attribute?  I'm able to sort by other class attributes but not by a star_rating attribute - but it's always seemingly random in the same way  so I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong.

EDIT:

I was wrong about the sort direction making a difference.

I would guess that it is possible, but it depends on which Solr field you use to sort.
