Images stored in the main content structure

Images stored in the main content structure

Thursday 12 April 2012 8:47:24 am - 3 replies

Hello,

I've upgraded a site from an older version of eZ-Publish to the current 4.6. Everything is working, except when adding images in a WYSIWYG-field. The images are displayed correctly but they are stores in the main content structure.

How can I change where these images are stored? I would like them to be stored in a folder in the Media Library.

Best regards,
Fredrik

Hi Fredrik,

I had the exact same issue couple of months ago and I've come to conclusion that for default settings, ezoe expects /Media/Images folder to have /media/images path identification string, and if you rename the folder to suit your needs, it will start putting embedded images below root node (2).

Try playing with [RelationAssignmentSettings]/ClassSpecificAssignment setting in content.ini to define where to store your images uploaded through ezoe or to change the settings to match your path identification string.

Specifically, you might add the following in your content.ini override, so ezoe does not depend on name of Images folder, but on node ID:

[RelationAssignmentSettings]
ClassSpecificAssignment[]=image;51

This tells ezoe in what node to store images ("image" is your class identifier and 51 is the node ID of /Media/Images folder)

I hope that helped!

Cheers!

It works, thanks a lot!

I've also discovered another problem which might be related. After upgrading, and clearing the cache, the files in Media Library/Files are 0 bytes and cannot be found. Although before clearing the cache, the files are downloadable.

Do have any idea what might cause this?

The previous installation was 4.0.1.

Sorry, nothing comes to mind sad.gif Emoticon Maybe check your templates to see if they're correct and check for any errors in /kernel/content/download.php script.
