Redirect after creating object?

Redirect after creating object?

Thursday 19 February 2009 11:08:35 pm - 6 replies

Hello,

Once a user creates an object within the "Public site" (not the admin) he is redirected to the root of the site (...content/view/full/2 or as defined in the admin).

What I would like to do is to redirect back to the page he has submitted the request to create the new object (something equal to history.back() in javascript) so he can continue creating new objects.

How is this done?

Thanks

Hello,

the normal redirect is the page where you were, or the parent.

do you open two browser (one on admin and one on front site) ? because i discovered this week that if you change of webpage in one browser , the redirect goes to this page ...
it 's not a bug but it's normal.

i hope i am not out of subject

Hello Jorge,

I propose you to look on a post on my blog (wascou.org) : I studied this feature in the near past, for Ajax problems, on eZ 4.0, but the main mechanism is the same.

Hope this post will help you.

It is so annoying to find forum thread , where my problem is solved, but all links to solutions are dead...

Please, copy most important part of solution to forum entry  additionally to the link.  ez.no site lives (and will live ) longer than most of programmes blogs...
