Error using ezlupdate on Mac OS X Lion

I get the following error when trying to use ezlupdate to setup translation files in OS X Lion 10.7.
"Launch of "ezlupdate" failed: the PowerPC architecture is no longer supported"
Strange error message since my MacBook Pro has an Intel processor. Has anyone else experienced this bug? I found a bug report but it's still unresolved.

Welcome to the eZ Community!
I think this error message is specific to your OSX version 10.7 which recently dropped support for older powerpc universal binaries (through rosetta). Here are a few folks also having this same problem with other applications.

See many applications give this error message now that this support has been removed from the system.
Existing apps need to be replaced with compatible alternatives in order for them to function again correctly. Again, This is not an eZ Publish or an ezlupdate issue.
I would think that if you were to re-build the ezlupdate binary (re-compile) it should function again normally. One note to consider, the actual error may very well be coming from supporting software which ezlupdate depends and you may need to update this software first before ezlupdate will work again.

Hello Heath, and thanks for the thorough reply.
I understand that this is really not an eZ Publish issue, although it's fairly important to me at the moment. Do you know where I can find the source code for ezlupdate in order to compile it?
The subversion depo at http://projects.ez.no/ezlupdate seems to be empty.

Which only seems to provide binary downloads and no sources.
