Hello everyone
I have a Video Page inside my website, which should contain the flv and wmv files.
i searched in the forum and found the same problems as mine but i didnt find the solution at the end:
As i had ezwebin package installed in my ezpublish, i found the flash player which is in ezflow(i dont have it in my ezpublish) and i put it in a new "flash" folder that i created in my extension. then i copy flash_player.tpl in my templates and modified my override.ini.
in the next step in my backend i created a class which contains a media > flash. i put my video inside it.
but nothing happened and i have only a white background with a link and when i click on it it starts to download the video which is not at all what i want.
i have to mention when i type my file url directly on my browser nothing happens. also i have insertmedia.js in my javascripts.
Has anyone any idea what can be my problem?

Hello nazanin,
Remember that eZ Publish and specifically ezwebin do not provide a flash video player by default.
This means you yourself are required to create a design extension, template overrides and javascript files within a design extension which provide an existing off the shelf flash video player for your flash video files stored in eZ Publish.
Also worth noting that in my personal hands on experience (limited but actual) the ezflow video player performance is terrible and I would myself never force it upon any website user, if I could prevent it entirely as you can, I would use a better performing and more actively improved flash video player instead.
We have spoke about this in the past as well, http://share.ez.no/forums/general/flash-video-not-shown-in-browser
Alternatively you could search the forums for similar answers give in the past that are more ezflow specific (sorry I don't use eZ Flow often as most stick to eZ Webin instead),

I hope this helps ...

Thank you Again very much Heath for all of ur supports and helps.
Actually in the company that i work they have their existing player but i just wanted to activate the video section and then replace it with the other one.
Finally I copied the flash_player.tpl codes from ezflows and copy them into flash.tpl in my extension and now it works.
thanks again Heath

Hello nazanin,
Thank you for your kind words. They really help on a trying day like today.
I'm pleased you were able to replace the related template code in question with the player you prefer.
Sorry I did not know the exact template in my original reply. Again best wishes
Cheers,
Heath
