URL translator problems with version 4.2.0

Thursday 21 January 2016 12:08:07 am - 2 replies

Hi,

we're on version 4.2.0 and I cant get the URL translator to work.

I'm trying to get e.g. www.mysite.com/quickie2016 to point to an existing page at www.mysite.com/not/very/quickie/dingdang2016

But I cant figure out how to enter this into the URL translator - I always get this error:

The specified destination URL <http://www.mysite.com/not/very/quickie/dingdang2016> does not exist in the system, cannot create alias for it

Ensure that the destination points to a valid entry, one of:

  • Built-in functionality, e.g. user/login.
  • Existing aliases for the content structure.

Anyone got some tips?

BR;

E.

Have you tried creating it directly from the node? That is, navigate to the node in the Administration Interface, left-click the big icon to the left of its title, and then click "Manage URL aliases" from the pop-up menu?

That did it happy.gif Emoticon

Only, the "Manage URL aliases" is under the "Advanced" pop-up menu item.

Thanks!
