How about adding a board to the forum where members can post up small bits of coding work and coders within the community can bid to do the work? Not for free but certainly not the premiums the big boys will charge.
It would give developers something tangible to work on within ezpublish and give the community a valuable resource for solving those "if only it did this" problems.
What does everyone think?

I like the the idea of having a forum section for freelance jobs, but meanwhile have you checked the jobs section? You can click the button "post a job offer" and try it, but I still like the idea of a forum section for this.
PS: Oh sorry, just noticed the post date.

With the recent influx of Job Offers posted here in the forums I think a dedicated forum section entitled 'Job Offers' or simply 'Job Board' makes a whole lot of sense. Re:
What will it take to finally get a dedicated forum for job opportunities?
Surely the addition of a dedicated forum would only strengthen the community not harm it.
But enough of what I think ... what do you think?
