Novactive is a web agency specialized in Internet/Intranet website creation using Open Source Technology.
Since the creation of Novactive in 1996, we have been able to deal with complex and high level websites requiring quality workmanship often paired with tight timelines. Our multidisciplinary teams tackle digital communication with a global, integrated and pragmatic approach: design, ergonomics, engineering, integration, hosting, webmastering, traffic production, mobile websites and applications.
Novactive has a permanent team made up of 80 Digital Media professionals, whom are located across 3 locations: Paris, Tunisia and Montreal. These professionals are consultants, project managers, designers, engineers, developers and webmasters.Web design and technical integration represent our 2 main fields of expertise. Novactive is now known as a leader in Open-Source development in France, and more precisely in regards to community websites and high traffic News and Media websites.
Novactive is an organization with continual improvement processes in place, respecting the ISO 9001 V.2008 norm, the AFNOR certification (Sept. 2009), confirmed by the audits of October 2010 and 2011.
After a public call for tenders, the Marseille Provence Airport chose Novactive for the remodeling of the website www.marseille.aeroport.fr.
This ambitious project consisted of the data and webservices integration from many various providers and platforms: Digitick for the bus tickets, Magento e-commerce platform for the parking subscriptions, queue cut, access to the VIP salon, SIA files for the flights’ schedule in real time, Liligo platform for trips, etc
Novactive also developed many specific extensions. First, the Agency put into place, on the Airport website, a faceted search engine for the trips suggested. This engine allows to refine its search by destination (zone>country>city), by beginning date, by theme. For each criteria selection, new data are loaded automatically.
Then, in order to manage exceptional events able to provoke a peak of unforeseen traffic on the website (example: in 2011, high traffic on the website caused by the eruption of the Icelandic volcano), the Airport can block the website and put online an informative website with some useful links. This crisis website can be activated and edited in few minutes directly from the back-office.
Novactive also designed the parameters of the back-office in order to simplify and customize the contribution by the teams of the Airport.
Novactive developed a mobile version of the website and works now on iPhone and Android mobile applications.
After the achievement of the 2011 Rugby World Cup website, Le Figaro requested Novactive for the development of a website dedicated to the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship.
This European championship which occurred in Poland and the Ukraine, was followed by many supporters on the Internet. Realized in few weeks as a “site access” of Sport24.com, the website validates in concrete terms the eZ Publish multi-website concept.
