The Week in Review: 1.7 LTS beta, new event dates and more

This week brings us dates for the eZ Conference and Web Summer Camp, a heads up on eZ Platform and eZ Studio 1.7 LTS beta and our regular social and events updates.

eZ Platform 1.7 LTS in beta

eZ Engineering is pushing towards the holidays, and has pre-releases ready for eZ Platform and eZ Studio, being 1.7 LTS beta. The releases are packed with improvements and bug fixes. To name a few, eZ Platform is ready for internationalization. You can read the details in the release notes:

Announcing Web Summer Camp 2017! Speakers wanted

"We at Netgen and Salsa Adria Productions are ready for another #websc adventure, are you? :) The 2017 website is out, we know the time and the place, and are looking for speakers and sponsors."

The 6th Web Summer Camp will be held at the Lone Hotel in Rovinj. Make sure to note the date, 30th August to 2nd September 2017. The announcement also includes the 2016 workshop videos.

Progress requires both stability and innovation, Symfony is nailing it

Jani Tarvainen, Professional Services Consultant at eZ, has written about the changing landscape of web development, and the role of Symfony.
