A Recap of the 2016 Re\Vision Boston Conference

“On June 16, 2016, eZ Systems hosted its second re\VISION Boston speaker series on digital strategy and innovation. Some of the industry’s top subject matter experts gathered at The Christian Science Monitor to discuss how strategy, technology and people can come together to deliver better, more efficient user experiences.”

Some of the highlights, slides and more, from speakers such as Kevin P Nichols, Dave Wieneke and Subrata Mukherejee can be found on our blog.

Tag Bundle from Netgen surpasses 20k installs

Worth mentioning is the news Edi Modric shared in one of his Tweets this week. The Tag Bundle from Netgen has surpassed 20k installs! Receiving a nomination for the eZ Award in 2015, the Tag Bundle “is an eZ Publish / eZ Platform bundle for taxonomy management and easier classification of content, providing functionality for tagging content.” You can read all about the history behind the Tag Bundle, and find it on GitHub.

As developers, we use plenty of tools. And in some cases, we work with such tools on different machines, and operating systems. Wouldn’t it be easy if those machines and OS’s would be ‘tied together’ somehow? I learned about Synergy this week, another tool, that does exactly that, and wanted to share this with you.

“Synergy lets you easily share your mouse and keyboard between multiple computers on your desk. It is Free and Open Source. Just move your mouse off the edge of one computer’s screen onto another. You can even share all of your clipboards. All you need is a network connection. Synergy is cross-platform, it works on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.”

Each week, we publish a roundup of highlights from the eZ ecosystem on share.ez.no, which we republish here on the eZ Blog. If you have any news or events to share, please contact me.
