As you might have noticed, our conference website is now up again, alive and kicking even more than before! Read on to learn what happened.

Given the context of this end of year, where the advent of eZ Publish 5 is on its way, and expectations from the technology-interested eZ Community members are high, we decided to re-focus the agenda (and theme) around The Community.

 A New UnEra

And what is more efficient to discuss technical themes than an UnConference?
Did you ask what an Unconference is? Well, as Wikipedia says it’s a participant-driven meeting. This means a planning session is scheduled each day, where the desired subjects are presented to the audience by those who are keen on sharing, and then gathered in up to 4 parallel tracks. At the end of every day, a summary of the sessions is presented to the entire audience, so everyone gets a glimpse of what the other tracks discussed. Every track has a note-taker, and a facilitator, so we keep track of what was said.

eZ Publish 5, Web Tech, Symfony, You Name It

There will still be some talks about Symfony framework, Innovation and User Experience and some case studies presented.
The call for papers is still on, so if you have ideas for standard talks (45mins) or flash-talks, don’t hesitate to submit your talk here. We by the way already have presented an excerpt of the submissions so far, as you can see here:

Competitive Prices + Cream On Top: 1 Day Symfony Training

This program sounds interesting and challenging, right? The only tricky part: due to the format, the number of participants is limited. So I strongly encourage you to book as soon as possible.  Ow, and yes, you can find the new booking rates on our website.  For 250 eur you can have an entry-pass for the 2-day UnConference. If you decide to motivate your colleagues (and your boss, see here for advice), then, you have the Company Pass (4 passes for 800 eur, that is 50 bucks saved per person!).
You will also have the possibility to extend your stay in Cologne for a One Day Basic Training on Symfony on Friday.  The price is 350 EUR for 2 Day UnConference and 1 Day Training.  And again, if you are a group of 4 or more, you will have a special rate of 300 eur!
