Exclude Node from URL

Exclude Node from URL

Wednesday 09 July 2014 4:15:09 pm - 1 reply

hi there,

we have a problem with an existing site: the URL scheme is like:

www.mywebsite.com/en/NOTNEEDED/content/

"NOTNEEDED" is a node... is it possible to exclude the node form the URL and if yes, how?

the URL should be: www.mywebsite.com/en/content/

thanks for help!

Hi Michael,

using eZPublish 4 you would need to adjust following settings:

site.ini:
[SiteSettings]
DefaultPage=/content/view/full/<node-id>/
IndexPage=/content/view/full/<node-id>/
[SiteAccessSettings]
PathPrefix=<url-alias of new root-node>

content.ini:
[NodeSettings]
RootNode=<node-id>

The url-alias in PathPrefix is excluding the siteaccess ofcourse.

Note that this probably only works in the legacy-stack and should probably not be applied to the backend.
In terms of the symfony-stack,... I haven't tried it yet.
