eZ DFS cluster setup and unclusterize for upgrade

Hello,

I don't see anyhting about unclusterizing a clustered website before upgrading, the only reference is in 3.10 features : https://github.com/ezsystems/ezpu...eatures/3.10/cluster_enhancement.txt

Do you recommend doing it ? Is it useless ?

I'm doing 4.3 to 4.6 upgrade.

Thanks !

Good point Matthieu.  I would say it depends on whether the cluster DB schema has changed, however, any changes or required DB alteration/population is normally handled by the upgrade scripts.  If you're switching to a different cluster mechanism then you need to uncluster first, ie revert to the basic filesystem approach.  You shouldn't lose any data by unclustering first (and you should back up everything before you upgrade anyway), so try both ways?!

From memory, 3.9 -> 3.10 / 4.0 was a big leap, and slightly buggy.

Hope that helps,

Geoff

Thank you for your help !

I'll check if there is change in the schema and try to avoid to unclusterize ...
