ImageMagick: watermark filter not working in Community Project 2011.9

Sunday 13 November 2011 4:40:29 pm - 3 replies

Hallo!
I use Community Project 2011.9, PHP Version 5.2.17, ImageMagick 6.6.2-5

How to make a watermark in the image?

All attempts were unsuccessful.
PNG watermark is not imposed on the main image.
Who have successfully used this feature?
Share your experience please.
Too much on this forum messages about non-working filter watermark.
And it seems the problem can not be solved.

You don't say if you are using the watermark facility of the ezie extension or your own filter code. We have watermarking working on an eZ Publish 4.3 website (http://www.silkroadecotours.com) using ImageMagick 6.6.5-4 but we don't use ezie.

Hi Andy!
Thank you for your answer!
We do not use ezIE ext. I want the pictures in the gallery have a watermark.
Can you show your settings for the watermark?

What we do is scale the image to a fixed size first, to match the size of the watermark. Then add the watermark image (a PNG with transparency), then scale the image to the required size.

Here's image.ini:

[large]
GUIName=Large, with copyright
Reference=
Filters[]
Filters[]=geometry/scalewidth=1400
Filters[]=add_copyright
Filters[]=geometry/scaledownonly=360; 440

Filters[]=add_copyright=extension/myextension/design/mydesign/images/my_copyright_transparent.png -geometry +10+10 -gravity southwest -composite
