Main Node Disappeared! Kernel error 3

Saturday 15 December 2012 4:46:53 am - 2 replies

Hi while pulbishing a new note we suddenly had an aerror. After that we now have no Node, no folders, no menus... but strangely content is there, URL of content work (even after deleting cahces).

We have checked DB, it works (insert, delete, new content, users, all works)  but the Content Structure Tab is also gone!

We cant access content with Kernel Errors (3) this is very strange...

We have even restored a backup from last night but problem persists... what could be wrong?

Cache and content permissions are all OK we even changed them to 777 to check, but problem persists. We have been in this problem for about 10 hours now...

OK Updated information:

1. Found the problem was that the main node ID version was from another object! weird...

2. I found multiple version published for this single Node.

3. Tried to force change the version to an old version, worked, now node is visible in the Admin area but not outside.

4. Tried to force create a new version, got error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function translations() on a non-object in /www/ezsystem/kernel/content/ezcontentoperationcollection.php on line 633
Fatal error: eZ Publish did not finish its request
The execution of eZ Publish was abruptly ended, debug information can be found in the log files normally placed in var/log/*

5. Changed the main node multiple published versions status to Archived (status 3) then deleted them

6. Found there is no published version and no way to publish one.

How can I create a version if there is no current published version of an element?

Or how can I recover the object (which is the main node!), or reset the versioning and avoid the error?

Hope somebody can help me reset this thing for now and make it visible... then understand why am I having so many versioning problems.

Not sure if its a bug orvwhy this is happening butvI have fixed it. Had to restore the DB, but:1. Leave only one published version2. Manualy changed version yo match the published version3. then got into admin panel edited this element to republish it (made no changes to the element) to force create a new one.4. Element is now visible. The element is now visible.Ez should allow or check consistency before publishing.
