No template cache if eZDBException throwed

No template cache if eZDBException throwed

Saturday 13 September 2014 4:46:10 am - 3 replies

Hi all,

I am using a bad hosting (hostmonster shared hosting).

The server is so bad that sometime the ramdisk is full (100% used) and Ez Publish give me errors like:

Query error (1030): Got error 28 from storage engine.
Query error (126): Incorrect key file for table '/ramdisk/mysql/tmp/#sql_417d_1.MYI'; try to repair it
Query error (1030): Got error -1 from storage engine.

The problem is that templates are cached and sometime, my website has no contents or partial contents.
Theses logs are created by /lib/ezdb/classes/ezmysqlidb.php on line 405.

Anyone know if there is a way to disable template cache when the eZDBException is throwed?

Thank you

Hello Vincent,

I'm sorry your having trouble. Indeed it is very important to pick the right web host for use with eZ.

To my knowledge (I'm sorry) there is no way to "disable template cache when the eZDBException is thrown".

I'm not even sure you could do such a thing with kernel hacks.

I did find this thread on a somewhat related topic,

Perhaps someone with more experience in this regard can speak up with another suggestion.

I hope this helps ... I wish you the very best in your search for a solution ... or rather a better web host.

Hello Vincent,

It sounds like your making the right choice.

As hard as it may be I think you can do better with another host.
