password change field not shown for one user

password change field not shown for one user

Monday 25 August 2014 7:40:32 am - 1 reply

Hi i am using Ezpublish , I logged into the admin panel , and I can search for a user and change his/her password

but for one user i can not change the password , even the password change fields are not shown , I can not figure out the problem actually .

is there any table in Ezpublish database where user permissions , access levels stored .

i checked in

ezuser

ezuser_accountkey

 ezuser_discountrule

ezuser_role

ezuser_setting  ezuservisit

but I could not find a major difference between the 2 users (password can be edited and password can not be edited)

Hello kanishka,

Can you post a screenshot of you inspecting the password fields html code (with FireBug extension to Firefox web browser) where the passwords should be shown?

I hate to ask but this might help us better understand the problem and it's cause.

  • Also what version of eZ Publish are you using?
  • Is it possible this is caused by a custom template override?
  • What is the url/uri of the view in question where you are editing the user content object?

I submit to you the default ezpublish user content object edit form html template:

https://github.com/ezsystems/ezpublish-legacy/blob/master/design/standard/templates/content/datatype/edit/ezuser.tpl#L29

Notice that the password fields are show no matter what.

There is no conditional logic surrounding these fields to hide them or prevent them from being shown.

Cheers,
Heath
