upgrade ezpublish to 5.x

Wednesday 07 August 2013 12:28:15 pm - 3 replies

Hello Ezcommunity,

I upgraded my ezpublish website from 4.6 to 4.7 and evrything works fine in 4.7.

Now I am about to upgrade  4.7 to 5.1

But I got some problem :

first i dont know if i should install a new ezpublish 5.1 before transfer the files? or just unpack it?

By the way i tried with both of them.

Just after upgrade my setting/siteaccess setting/override and specially VAR directory i couldnt connect to ezpublish/ezpublish-legacy anymore.

Can somebody PLEASE help me

Hello pa,

You may need to review the installation instructions once again,

https://confluence.ez.no/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=6292016

https://confluence.ez.no/display/EZP/Manual+configuration+of+eZ+Publish

If you want to only use the legacy system you can always point your webserver document root to ezpublish/ezpublish-legacy directory.

I hope this helps. Feel free to give more information on what you have already tried to do as this may help clarify what more you need to do.

Cheers,
Heath

Thanks Heath,

I tried once again and i succeed to finish the upgrade. i transfer all important files, change the settings ; update the db,

I can access my site via : mysite/ezpublish-legacy/site-access

The only problem is to create the symbolic links

php ezpublish/console assets:install --symlink

php ezpublish/console ezpublish:legacy:assets_install --symlink

I got an error :

Could not open input file: ezpublish/console
