Hi,

any one knows how to view a template without overriding in override.ini.append. ?

do we need to create a class always?

can we just create a template with html content and view it in a browser?

If some one have some examples please help with them?

Hello upeksha,

Sad to say the answer to your question, "any one knows how to view a template without overriding in override.ini.append" is mostly no.

Your only other option is to use a class based template override or custom logic (dirty) template includes within an existing design extension template override.

To your question, "do we need to create a class always?" no you don't. Your alternative to this is to create override.ini.append.php rules for your custom template needs.

To your question, "can we just create a template with html content and view it in a browser" the answer is sadly a no, ez templates don't work that way.

You need to learn to and master creating override.ini.append.php settings rules happy.gif Emoticon

Remember to clear ini caches when you make changes to override.ini.append.php settings!

I hope this helps!

Cheers,
Heath
