Corrupted Content Error with ParadoxPDF

Monday 14 November 2011 4:42:53 am - 1 reply

Hi all

I am using ParadoxPDF extension to generate dynamic pdf's consisting of 3 images alone. One header, one footer (eZImage associated with the logged in user) and one, larger, body image (eZImage loaded into objects)

Every first time a PDF is requested, with Firefox, a Corrupted Content Error message is presented to the user. If he hits the try again button, the PDF is downloaded successfully.

I noticed this behavior is not experienced by safari or chrome users.

I found some reports of a similar problem in mozillazine forums ( At the end there is a reference to an issue with sending two headers with the PDF response. Has anyone ever experienced a similar issue?

Do you have any suggestions on how to work around it?

Thanks, in advance

I managed to disguise this problem by targeting an hidden iframe for the download. But it still fails ugly on IE 8. On IE 8 the pdf file is sent in response, though it is not fully generated, causing user to end up with a malformed PDF. Subsequent attempts to fetch the PDF fail also because IE decides to present the user with the cached version already on the client side. Gosh, I hate IE!
