Extension Permission

Extension Permission

Thursday 02 September 2010 10:31:51 am - 3 replies

I recently tried to create an extension called tipafriend for purpose of learning extension development
in module.ini.append.php if I just add the following details
[ModuleSettings]
ExtensionRepositories[]=tipafriend
I am not able to add permission to the functions in my extension
but when I add
[ModuleSettings]
ExtensionRepositories[]=tipafriend
ModuleList[]=learntip --> name of the subfolder in modules folder
Then it works. Is this a new change in ezPublish because the tutorial I was refering to just asked me to add
[ModuleSettings]
ExtensionRepositories[]=tipafriend
in module.ini.append.php
Thanks in advance

Hi Shoaib,

The module name has to be declared in module.ini/[ModuleSettings]/ModuleList since eZ Publish 4.1. As far as I know, it's too avoid to scan all modules directories in every extensions to discover the list of modules.

Cheers

Updated article to include this setting as I guess you had this from Felix's article?
