IndexBoost on Publishing time

IndexBoost on Publishing time

Friday 07 March 2014 11:57:55 am - 1 reply

Is it possible to let publishing time be more important in the relevance score? I.e. articles published lately will usually rank higher than content from five years ago.

I see the ezfind.ini file has a MetaField variable in [IndexBoost] and looking through the code I thought I could see that I can write MetaField[date] but the ini file also write: # Metafield: not yet implemented !!

Any suggestions?

I do not have the solution but this could be a good starting point:
