ezscriptmonitor - how to use it?

Can anyone help me with how to use the ezscriptmonitor extenstion? Is it working on ez4.7? Seems like I installed and enabled the plugin, but don't know what to do next.

HI Piotr,

script monitor is used when you change a class, I believe you know that.
I guess you've already imported the sql schema to your DB, you've enabled the ezscriptmonitor extension and you've cleared the caches.

Then, when you add a new attribute/fieldtype to an existing class with content, you'll see a message saying "Background process monitor"

Hi Pedro,

Thanks for the reply. As you write, one of a reasons to use this extension is to change all class objects when changing a class definition. However for me, the most important feature of the extension is to make it possible co copy/move/remove a hole bunch of nodes without ending up with timeout happy.gif Emoticon So maybe any tips about that?

Hi Piotr,

I think you're mistaken, you should use other scripts available in bin/php, for instance

  • ezsubtreecopy.php
  • ezsubtreeremove.php

to use them you need to run them from the root:

$ php bin/php/ezsubtreecopy.php --siteaccess ...
