eZTags for top navigation

eZTags for top navigation

Sunday 18 November 2012 9:50:26 am - 1 reply

Hello everyone!

I'd need some help trying to structure an application based on eZTags. My website will have only articles belonging to different Categories (eZtags). Some articles can belong to 2 or more categories (eg: Flowers, India)

Eg:

Nature [Category 1]

  • Flowers
  • Animals
  • Insects

Countries [Category2]

  • India
  • China
  • Thailand etc.

How can I add the Top Categories on the Main Navigation?

[Home] [About][Nature][Countries][Contact] etc...

Can I add a tag as content type in the Content Tree Menu?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Paul,

You cannot add tags as a content type in tree menu, but you can use fetches that are bundled with the extension, for example:

 {def $top_menu_tags = fetch(tags, list, hash(parent_tag_id, 42))}

This will give you tags that are below tag with ID 42 which you can use to include them with the rest of top menu.

I hope it helps,

Cheers!
