Bjr, please need help with CJW newsletter,
After you import the class that is in the package
installation, I started to create the various objects
corresponding to the classes but I imported butter to an error
when I try to create an object of class CJW Newsletter List.
Here's the error:

Fatal error: A database transaction in eZ Publish failed.

The current execution was stopped to prevent further problems.
You should contact the System Administrator of this site with the information on this page.
The current transaction ID is TRANSID-eab51bd487fa1b24e0ca018cad8b9bc9 and has been logged.
Please include the transaction ID and the current URL when contacting the system administrator.

Hello carlos,

Please enable eZ Publish DebugOutput and repeate the process of actions which generate this error specfiically.

Then share the debug output text you get on the page with the error in question here in the forums as a 'Insert literal text' (button in forum text editor) block so it will be formatted correct and can be understood by others.

I did notice in another thread the advice to do one thing that I think you should do also regardless.

You may have errors with your database (specific configuration requirements, usage requirements, etc).

You should login to the admin and run "Check database consistency" from Setup-> Upgrade Check!

If you get any results other than "Database check OK." please also share these errors here in the forum thread.

I hope this helps ...

Cheers,

Heath

Thank you very much Heath,

in fact, I made the mistake of creating tables for CJW newsletter in another databaseinstead of creating them within the database ezpublish.
By "Check database consistency" I discovered this error.
again thank you Heath

Please Heath,Everything works fine in the back office, I finished installing cjw_newsletter by creating the tree as explained in the file "install". but how to create a small form for users in the front office to enable them to subscribe to my newsletter.
Should I do a fetch or how?
if yes, the object of which class ? newsletter list, newsletter edition ... ?
thanks

Hello carlos,

I'm sorry to say I've not yet used the cjw_newsletter extension myself so I can't really help with how best to make use of this solution.

I would strongly recommend you take those questions to the project's forums where the author and other like minded developers who do use this extension regularly have a chance to see and respond to your more extension specific needs, http://projects.ez.no/cjw_newsletter/forum

I hope this helps ...

Cheers,

Heath

The newsletter subscribe form you can access with the following url:

 yoursiteaccess.../newsletter/subscribe

In the newsletter list you can choose in which siteaccesses the list will be available for subscription.

Ok thank you Felix Woldt,
I saw the form but just one question:
In the template is called "subscribe.tpl" in this case I can just copy the form and paste it into a specific location on my site?
possible?
Is It Safe?
Suppose I do not want it to be a link, I want to show the form directly to the home page.
Thanks
