Handle cache for authenticated users

I want to load website toolbar only for authenticated users but I have HTTP cache enabled (TTL Cache), thus the toolbar is cached ...

Do you know how can I disable HTTP Cache when a user is authenticated ?

Thanks !

I've found a solution in enabling ESI and I load the part of the template that I want to be specific to a user in a subrequest where I can check for authentication.

It works fine but I wonder if there is other way to do achieve this use case ?

Thanks !
