HTML 5 elements being stripped

HTML 5 elements being stripped

Tuesday 02 April 2013 11:49:54 am - 4 replies

I'm trying to add the section element, however this appears to be stripped.

I've added within "ezpublish_legacy/settings/override/content.ini.append.php", however this continues to get stripped. Can someone point out where I am going wrong? As this shows within the admin config.

[CustomTagSettings]
AvailableCustomTags[]=section

[section]
AvailableClasses[]=html

Hi Andrew

This is probably because <section> is used in internal XML dialect to store rich content... So not sure what you want to do is possible sad.gif Emoticon

Any work arounds that you can think of?

Developing a custom tag is probably the best way to go...

Hi Andrew,

Per Jérôme's suggestion, try calling your custom tag something like html5_section:

[CustomTagSettings]
AvailableCustomTags[]=html5_section

[html5_section]
AvailableClasses[]=html

Then, in your template for your custom tag, you can use <section>:

html_section.tpl

<section>{$content}</section>
