Prety confiusing about Ez5 and Template

Friday 15 March 2013 10:53:11 am - 5 replies

Hello, I am prety confiused about how work template system in this ez5,

i think i did installed correctly the ez publish 5, did configure the new virtualhsot like reported on documentation, create links with this commands

<span style="font-size: 1.1em;">php ezpublish/console assets:install --symlink
</span><span style="font-size: 1.1em;">php ezpublish/console ezpublish:legacy:assets_install --symlink</span>

than i did connect with the broswer to my domain and run the ezsetup following the instruction on screen

when i did finish i did create a new bundle, modified the setting ezpublish_legacy.view.default_layout:EvoTestBundle::pagelayout.html.twig for point to my new bundle , so i excepted which , loading the default page of my domain i see new page written on my pagelayout.html.twig

but it ever compile the default pagelayout.tpl

so now i am prety confiused about how work ez5, i know it still have support to old template system, but how to use new template system?

and i didnt understand what is the pro of have symphony O.o

sorry for my silly question but i id search lots on google before ask, i did follow some tutorial too but ever found problems...

thanks

Hi Stefano and welcome happy.gif Emoticon

You have probably a wrong configuration on your ezpublish/config/ezpublish.yml file. Check if you re siteaccess has a legacy_mode set to false.

Cheers.

Hi Stefano,

I am not sure I follow exactly the issue you are having.

I am currently building a site in the pure Symfony stack of eZ Publish 5 along with some development tools. I am currently working on a debug bundle that will be able to provide greater insight into what is available the twig templates. I have added a reply to another topic related to that issue.
