Setup wizard fails on last page

Setup wizard fails on last page

Saturday 22 December 2012 2:51:46 pm - 4 replies

So, I finally had the chance to hop onto the eZ Publish 5 bandwagon, followed all the instructions for vhost setup on the dev machine, but the setup fails repeatedly on the last step because it fails to connect to mailserver to send mail to eZ Systems.

All attempts to do a manual setup also fail. Is there a reason why manual setup is no longer possible?

[Update]

I've managed to complete the setup and can now access Admin on the legacy stack. The demo site throws a Twig_Error_Runtime exception, though. I'm sure I'll find out soon how to solve this.

Now on to reading up on creating bundles ....

Hi Charles,

out of curiosity; which site package did you install?
I think the demo bundle which is in use if legacy_mode is enabled is kind of hard-coded for the full demo site install with demo content.

Hi André,

I installed the ezdemo site package with demo content. It's the one that contains the eZDemoBundle, which is supposed to showcase the new features of eZ Publish 5, isn't it?

Unfortunately, I've not yet been able to have it run. It's throwing up a filesize() ErrorException. Apparently, it can't access the file "Getting-Started-with-eZ-Publish-5.jpg".

I'm still eyeballing the code and reading up on Symfony to see if I can create a working bundle.

Something wrong with the demo content maybe then, depending on the version your running you might have gotten old packages, shouldn't affect you too much as soon as you start to create own bundle.
