switch language after update to ezpublish 5

Wednesday 03 September 2014 12:35:11 pm - 3 replies

I updated my ezpublish community version from 4.7 to 5.0.
All seem ok except the language :
On the version 4.7, I could switched beetween FR and EN and the browser detected the current language.
On the new version (v.5), only EN is available (and detected).
The Apache log files detects the switch : GET /switchlanguage/to/en HTTP/1.1"
My available languages are controlled per siteacess using the "SiteLanguageList" configuration setting located under the "[RegionalSettings]" section of the siteaccess "site.ini.append.php" file.
Where is my mistake or what I forgot ?

Hi Dominique

Hard to say with so little information happy.gif Emoticon.

First did you upgrade to 5.0 or 5.3? There is a huge difference blunk.gif Emoticon. Do you use the symfony stack or did you point your DocumentRoot to ezpublish_legacy/ folder? Last but not least, you might want to have a look at the new language switcher, available in 5.3.

Hi Jérôme.

I upgraded from Community Project 2012.8 to 2012.11.

All worked well in v.2012.8

I started again an update by following this link :

Now, the switch language is ok but the browser detection (Fr or En) is not ok.

My first mistake was a bad configuration in my virtual host setup (rewrite rules not necessary).

Now, I have to search why the brower can't detect the language.
