Yes it is. You just need to create a new admin siteaccess and set fre-FR as your main language for that new siteaccess.

Or if you just have one admin siteaccess, just take a lot at your settings/siteaccess/[youradminsiteaccess]/site.ini.append.php

there you can set fre-FR as your language for that siteaccess.

Hello Carlos

Thanks for responding

Where is it possible to find FR files to set fre-FR as my language for that siteaccess or for new siteaccess ?

That may depends on the name you gave to your admin siteaccess when installing ez.

ezpublish_legacy/settings/siteaccess/[yourchosenname]/site.ini.append.php

Btw, if you reinstall, you can set french as main language too.

Hello Carlos

Thanks for responding.

If I understand your reply I need to reinstall EsPublish to translate admin in French ?

I create an fr admin siteaccess : ezpublish_legacy/settings/siteaccess/fr/site.ini.append.php

Here my new site.ini.append.php :

SiteSettings]
SiteName=Website Interface
SiteURL=127.0.0.1/ezpublish/index.php/fr
LoginPage=embedded
AdditionalLoginFormActionURL=http://127.0.0.1/ezpublish/index.php/admin_site/user/login
[UserSettings]
RegistrationEmail=
[SiteAccessSettings]
RequireUserLogin=false
RelatedSiteAccessList[]
RelatedSiteAccessList[]=user_site
RelatedSiteAccessList[]=eng
RelatedSiteAccessList[]=ger
RelatedSiteAccessList[]=fr
RelatedSiteAccessList[]=admin_site
ShowHiddenNodes=false
[DesignSettings]
SiteDesign=ezdemo
AdditionalSiteDesignList[]
AdditionalSiteDesignList[]=ezflow
AdditionalSiteDesignList[]=base
AdditionalSiteDesignList[]=standard
[RegionalSettings]
Locale=fre-FR
ContentObjectLocale=fre-FR
ShowUntranslatedObjects=disabled
SiteLanguageList[]
SiteLanguageList[]=fre-FR
TextTranslation=disabled
[FileSettings]
VarDir=var/ezdemo_site
[ContentSettings]
TranslationList=ger-DE

Is it OK ?

that should be ok. you wouldn't need to create a new install. change TextTranslation to enabled too.

Thanks

TranslationList=eng-GB;fre-FR;ger-DE

Do I need to add fre-FR language in other site.ini.append.php files in eng, ger, admin_site files ?

Hello Philippe,

I think you have made a mistake that you will probably want to correct first before continuing.

You made a regular site access copy not and admin siteaccess copy.

It's fine to keep your 'fr' siteacces that you have made, it's a user siteaccess though.

See I can tell this by the settings values you share that it's a user siteaccess copy.

If you really want and fr admin siteaccess make a a copy of the siteaccess settings folder, 'admin_site' to 'admin_site_fr' and modify the site.ini.append.php settings values to meet your specific language needs.

Make sure that  ShowUntranslatedObjects=enabled and TextTranslation=enabled and ShowHiddenNodes=true

Remember to add your new siteacesses into the settings/override/site.ini.append.php siteaccesses list variables. IE: AvailableSiteAccessList[] and SiteList[]

I hope this helps! Feel free to ask more questions.

Cheers,
Heath

Hello Philippe,

I'm glad you understand. I'm happy I could help.

Re: Is it possible to link the frontend "Go to admin interface" icon to my new siteaccess ?

Yes, absolutely. Change the default user siteaccess site.ini.append.php settings variable AdditionalLoginFormActionURL to point to your new FR admin siteaccess url.

Re: is it possible to choose between english and french language in EzPublish admin ?

Your question is unclear. Do you mean for admin ui language (navigation, etc)  or content object content?

For admin ui ... no this is determined on a siteaccess level, so keep your standard english admin siteaccess around for english admins.

For content object content .. Yes. This is provided by siteaccess configuration as well but you can choose which language you want to edit content in on the fly.

I hope this helps!

Cheers,
Heath
