Best practice to redirect users depending of eZ class ?

Wednesday 06 February 2013 2:48:38 pm - 1 reply

I would like to redirect users trying to access to specific objects (depending of the class) to the parent (if the parentis based on an viewable class).

For example: "Folder" objects are allowed, but not "Article" objects.
If a user try to access an article giving the direct URL, he will be access the parent folder.
If the parent obecjt is not viewable as well, user will be redirected to the grand-parent obect etc.

It is possible without to have edit all related templates ???
What would be the best way to do it ?

Thanks a lot to everyone who could submit here a good trick. happy.gif Emoticon

I forgot to write this need is for the "old" eZPublish 4 branch. Thanks.

Currently I think to use a template operator for each pagelayout.tpl used... But there is probably a better way to get it.
