exclude classes from search

exclude classes from search

Wednesday 02 May 2012 7:16:21 pm - 2 replies

hello!

when i define a new attribute for a class, there's the option "Is searchable". This option was enable for one attribute. I decided to disabled this attribute because i don't want to tack this attribute with the search engine (standard of ezpublish).

But the attribute still been in the results.

  • are this results cached?
  • do i need to clear some cache?

or, ..how do i exclude this object from search results?

thanks, juan pablo

Hi Juan Pablo,

if you are using the default search, you will probably have to update the search index by running the following command:

php bin/php/updatesearchindex.php -s <siteaccess>

If you want to exclude specific classes from the search results, you can only do it the other way around, by fetching results from content classes that you define (include instead of exclude).
