Fatal Error unable to log in admin side after compiling php 5.3.8 in EZ 4.4

Fatal Error unable to log in admin side after compiling php 5.3.8 in EZ 4.4

Thursday 27 October 2011 8:00:15 am - 2 replies

Hi after upgrading to 5.3.8 on php I found this error while trying to get into Admin side unable to login just this:

Fatal error: session_start() [<a href='function.session-start'>function.session-start</a>]: Failed to initialize storage module: files (path: ) in /home/(user)/public_html/lib/ezsession/classes/ezsession.phpon line 361
Fatal error: eZ Publish did not finish its request

The execution of eZ Publish was abruptly ended, debug information can be found in the log files normally placed in var/log/*

This happens in 2 installs in the same server, completley separated...

Any idea where to search or how to solve it?? please!

Hello Luis,

I've never had this error happen to myself before
but a few quick searches seem to point me towards
thinking this is a PHP issue not an eZ Publish issue.

I would suggest trying some of the suggestions presented in these other threads.

I hope this helps ...

Heath,

Thank you very much! We found out that the problem was to do with fcgi. somehow the handler got broken after compiling so I had to change from suphp and back to fcgi and done, it began to work.

Dont know exactly what was the problem but this fixed the issue.
