How can I include Youtube vidoes in EZ 4.1.2?

I suggest a custom tag, object relation or template based solution.

This choice really depends on your specific needs.

If was simple I would store the information in a text attributes and use a custom template myself (so i don't have to store video files and linkto / include them instead).

I have another question regarding youtube videos. This might be a very dumb question: What do I have to do to get a video auto-start? I am using quite an old version of eZ and I simply embedded a video by using the VideoID. Now I want it to start right away whenever someone opens this particular page. I am not an IT person, so please use words I understand -  without html methods as I don't have any access to it. Thanks.

What version of eZ are you using?

Do they have to be YouTube videos or do you have Flash videos you could use?

Actually  I don't really know which version. The Customer Care person just told me that it was quite old. Is there a way for me to find out? And aye, it needs to be Youtube.

I really don't know anything about software and IT. Just taught myself how to use this one.

Hi there, Deborah.

If you use the standard Share and Embed option on Youtube you just have to add ?autoplay=1 to the src.

< iframe width="560" height="315" src="//" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen > < /iframe >

You can actually add youtube code in the editor using the literal tag if you have the option to choose class "html".

To add class html if it does not exist you can add it under the Setup-tab, Ini-settings, choosing content.ini in the dropdown, locating the setting Literal and adding "html" to the AvailableClasses array.
