Where my obj is used/embedded/referenced/etc?

Monday 01 July 2013 2:19:42 pm - 6 replies

Dear you,

Doese somebody has a suggestion if there is a spot in the backend of eZP where it's possible to see the locations of a particular object reference  (means i need all the other objects where my obj is used/embedded/referenced/etc') ?

Crawling the forum wasn't that successful, because of the ambiguousness.

Hi Christoph,

when viewing an object in eZ Publish administration interface, there is a tab at the top called Relations. It lists all objects that reference the current object as well as all objects that your object references.

Hi Edi,

thanks a lot for your reply. I found my Problem, The relation tab does not recognize objects which are linked to ez Flow somewhere. Any suggestions on how to reach this in a sohisticated manner?

Hi Christoph,

I don't think there's an interface or an API you can use to fetch that info. I think the best you can do is create a custom fetch function that will query the ezm_pool DB table and use that to display (reverse) related objects in a custom tab in admin interface.

Hello,

Thank you! I will check if the constraints will be reached and have that fetch function soon.

Solution:

The ezm_pool table contains: object_idnode_idblock_id

join ezm_pool.block_id on ezm_block.id and get ezm_block.node_id.to have the corresponding block node_id.

voila

Cheers Chris
