Disable an extension from a siteaccess

Disable an extension from a siteaccess

Wednesday 11 July 2012 2:01:39 pm - 3 replies

HI.

I am working on a machine where I only have access to a siteaccess. within the settings directory and not the settings/override directory.

Here is the issue:

I need to disable an extension in my siteaccess that is enabled in the global/settings/site.ini.append.php file.
I would normally simply move the extension in question to the siteaccesses that it is neededin.  However, as I am aguest onthis machine and there are 60 other siteaccesses all needing the extension (other than me), it seems excessive to ask the hoster to modify all 60 individual siteaccesses.

Q: Is there a way in a siteaccess to disable an extension that is actually defined in the settings/override/site.ini under ActiveExtensions ?

Hi David,

It apparently is not possible per today. I am afraid that the remaining solution is the one you evoked..

Cheers !

Thanks.  The extension in question was overriding templates (well, not via override, but via design directory ordering.  I took care of it by adding a copy of the original template into a design/standard direcory of my extension and it was picked up first.  good enough for now happy.gif Emoticon
