Error on final stage of setup Wizard

Error on final stage of setup Wizard

Wednesday 14 May 2014 7:43:08 pm - 4 replies

I'm getting an error on the final stage of the setup wizard for ez 4.07

This has been asked a few times, but the only advice ever seems to be enabling debug_output and nothing further. Additionally, I have tried everything else recommended but nothing is solving this problem. Basically when I try and create my site I first get a page that has loads of errors, and when i retry, I get this:

The setup wizard was not able to complete the creation of your selected sites.

The following errors were detected:

EZSW-004Failed inserting data to mysqlTable 'ezapprove_items' already exists

EZSW-040Failed to initialize site package 'ezwebin_site'If you think you have fixed the errors you can try then click the "Retry" button.

I have dropped all tables many times and tried setting up many times. I have run the setup wizard on every browser, I have increased the memory_limit and I have increased maximum execution time (in php.ini).

My debug output is this;

eZ debugTiming: May 14 2014 19:33:22Script startTiming: May 14 2014 19:33:22Module start 'setup'Notice: eZMySQLDB::query(0.000 ms) query number per page:0 May 14 2014 19:33:22SET NAMES 'utf8'Error: eZMySQLDB May 14 2014 19:33:22Query error: Table 'ezapprove_items' already exists. Query: CREATE TABLE ezapprove_items ( collaboration_id int(11) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0', id int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, workflow_process_id int(11) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0', PRIMARY KEY ( id )) ENGINE=InnoDBError: May 14 2014 19:33:22Failed inserting the SQL:CREATE TABLE ezapprove_items ( collaboration_id int(11) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0', id int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, workflow_process_id int(11) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0', PRIMARY KEY ( id )) ENGINE=InnoDB

If it's relevant im installing on a localhost using MAMP.I have been at this for a whole week installing an uninstalling various versions of ezpublish.Thanks so much for your help guys,Will

I  know the issue on early version of eZ when trying to install on a previously created eZ database instance. The easiest way is to drop the "old" database and create a new one, the run the setup wizard again.

DROP DATABASE <dbname>;
CREATE DATABASE <dbname> CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_general_ci;

Artur,

Thanks for the reply. I already tried dropping the old databases, but had never tried collating it to utf8_general_ci. However, unfortunately, the exact same errors still occur. It is still saying the ezapprove_items already exists.

You're not the first one with that issue happy.gif Emoticon
http://share.ez.no/forums/install-configuration/setup-wizard-unable-to-complete-the-site-creation-on-localhost
i would also recommend the following:
1) drop and recreate db instance ( the last time happy.gif Emoticon )
2) purge cache manually
rm -Rf var/cache
rm -Rf var/ezwebin_site/cache (or similar)
rm -Rf var/storage/packages
3) assign var dir to apache (or the www user on your setup)
chown -R apache:apache var/
4) run wizard....

Thanks a lot, but could you just clarify step 3 for me?

I'm quite new at this, what are you actually doing there and why?

Thanks again, Will
