EzPlatform MAMP install Forbidden

Friday 13 May 2016 5:28:48 am

I am having difficulty getting the eZ Platform 1.3 Demo to run on Mac OS X 10.11 using MAMP 3.5.
After much travail, I have successfully installed the app using the following 'install' command:

     php -d memory_limit=-1 app/console ezplatform:install --env=prod demo

The database was created successfully. I also did a cache:clear and ascetic:dump to ensure everything is in place.

However... When I navigate to the site, I get an error saying "Forbidden: You don't have permission to access / on this server."

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but MAMP allows various <Directory> settings to be set for apache. These are what I have set:

allow includes

follow symlinks

AllowOverride: allow

Order: allow.deny

AllowFrom: allow

Btw.. when I turn on the <Directory> option to 'allow indexes', I can get past the 'Forbidden' page, but all I get is a file browser. The ezApp does not load.
