Hi

Just a heads up if you are installing eZ Publish Community Project 2013.4 that there is a new step required when linking assets.

php ezpublish/console assetic:dump --env=prod web

See: https://confluence.ez.no/pages/diffpagesbyversion.action?pageId=7438581&selectedPageVersions=10&selectedPageVersions=9

There are also additional rewrite rules required

 # For eZ Publish 5.1 and higher:
RewriteRule ^/css/.*\.css - [L]
RewriteRule ^/js/.*\.js - [L]

https://confluence.ez.no/pages/diffpagesbyversion.action?pageId=7438507&selectedPageVersions=13&selectedPageVersions=11

If you don't do this the site will load but the CSS & javascript will not.

Cheers
Bruce

Hi,

I have seen this feature too, usefull on prod, but not on "dev" environment.

It's depend on configuration : "assetic.use_controller".  And for "dev" environment (ezpublish/config/config_dev.yml), we have :

 assetic:
use_controller: true

I think that we have to comment this rewrite rules on "dev" environment, and we do not have to execute "assetic:dump" script with --env=dev. The assetics files are routed by index_dev.php.

On prod, it's required because the configuration assetic.use_controller=false in ezpublish/config/config.yml

Thanks for the tip.

Arnaud.

Hello Bruce,

Thanks for this information. Actually, I spent couple of hours looking for a solution here. Too bad I have discovered your post after I wrote mine: http://share.ez.no/forums/ez-publish-5-platform/css-js-assets-with-sf-pagelayout-asset_url-does-not-exist/%28language%29/eng-GB blunk.gif Emoticon

Cheers!
