Problem while installing 2012.9

Saturday 20 October 2012 2:28:41 am - 3 replies

i wanted to try the new eZ Publish. After the steps, i get a 404 Error from server. I did the following steps:

  1. Get eZ Publish files/folders (from git) in /var/www/vhosts/
  2. Get eZ Publish legacy (from git) to /var/www/vhosts/
  3. Executing ACL commands (rm -rf app/cache app/logs and setfacl commands)
  4. install composer and run php composer.phar install
  5. create symlinks (php app/console assets:install --symlink web && php app/console ezpublish:legacy:assets_install --symlink web )
  6. Create vhost.conf with prefered settings

Now if I try to start the setup wizard with, the 404 Error appears.
Whats wrong/missing?

Thanks for help happy.gif Emoticon

Kind Regards

Server: Debian 6.0.6 64bit
Plesk 11.0.9

Edit: with configured vhost.conf i get an 503 - Service unavailable error. If i deactivate the vhost.conf I get the 404 error. Its confusing.

Hi Kevin,

I'm not an expert on such installations (platform and method), but did you see this doc?

Edit: a related topic:

Hi Kevin,

Glad to hear you were able to continue the install. Do let us know when you run into anything else. We are very eager to hear experiences with this new release, especially since it is based on eZ Publish 5 and Symfony.

Have a good weekend, Robin
