strange ez Publish 5 install

Thursday 13 December 2012 9:26:11 am - 3 replies

hello !

i try an install of ez Publish 5 from scratch and some things seems to be strange.

I follow the install process described here http://doc.ez.no/eZ-Publish/Technical-manual/5.x/Installation/Normal-installation/Installing-eZ-Publish-on-a-Linux-UNIX-based-system and i've downloaded the package from here : http://share.ez.no/downloads/downloads/ez-publish-community-project-2012.9

first thing that is a little strange is that i should setup these folder permissions :

cd /<ezp5-root>/
chmod -R a+rwx ezpublish/{cache,logs,config} \    ezpublish_legacy/{design,extension,settings,var}

but in my ez publish root folder i only have app, src, vendor and web folder.
I looked in app folder, i have ezpublish_legacy folder ... but no ezpublish sad.gif Emoticon

i'm sure i missed something ... but what ?...

thanks a lot for your help !!

Hi Jeremy,

Structure of folders in eZ Publish 5 changed sometime after 2012.09 was released.ezpublish folder corresponds to app folder you have, and ezpublish_legacy corresponds to app/ezpublish_legacy.You can find more details here: http://share.ez.no/blogs/jerome-vieilledent/some-ez-publish-5-update

Hi Jérémy,

The next eZ Publish Community Project build, coming-up this week, will correspond to the new folder structure that is also shipped within eZ Publish 5 Platform Enterprise Edition.

Stay tuned,
Cheers!
