Tips / suggestions when mounting eZDFS

Monday 15 October 2012 6:59:55 pm - 3 replies

my customer is about to change his cluster setup from a MySQL one to a DFS one.
Do you have any suggestions regarding the way we should mount the NFS share ?

Our sys admin used that configuration (you might need to scroll right...) :

server:/remote/path/to/NFS      /local/path/to/nfs      nfs     rw,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,bg,hard,intr,nfsvers=3,noatime,nodiratime,actimeo=3 0       2

Anything wrong ?

Config : basic LAMP stack with eZP 4.7

Thanks in advance,

That looks good to me. We host about 50 sites on several load-balanced webservers that all mount a few different NFS exports, and here is an example of how we mount them:

 mount -o rw,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,intr 10.x.x.x:/path /path

Take care about nfs and ext4 if on rhel/centos5, it seems to be buggy. Centos 6 otoh seems stable

We are using Debian Squeeze on the client side, not sure which OS/version is used on the server side
