Chose different site by user's IP address

Chose different site by user's IP address

Hi,

I would like to display to the user site based on user's IP address (IP geolocation).

I couldn't find any extension that would provide such functionality. If there anything like that already available?

If not, do you have any hints how to approach this and implement some custom code?

This is something you normally would solve on your web server, reverse proxy or load balancer. Not in the application it self. If your running just one server that would normally be with a module in Apache.

Agreed, however in this case I have limited access to web server (shared environment) and I'm afraid installing additional module is not an option.

Any other suggestions?

I've been looking at this extension, which should provide a good start in terms of mapping IP to country:

Hello Michal,

This is great! It sounds like you have a couple of available functional extension to choose from for use in your project.

Please let us know how you decide to proceed and what you do to fill this requirement. I'm sure we would all be interested in hearing more ...

Cheers,

Heath
